Schedule for Remote Ground Schools 

Includes 24 hours of instructor led ground school. The remote ground school is designed to be a supplement to the online ground school. Completing the online ground school and the remote ground school is required to obtain enough time for the Transport Canada requirements.

Ground School is taught by David Lewycky. He is an experienced helicopter and aeroplane pilot with many years of experience teaching ground school and preparing people for TC exams. (Best in Canada)  

This ground school is to help you prepare for the Private Pilot Written Exam PPAER, focusing on areas that are the biggest challenges (based on PPL exam feedback) and to answer your questions.

Topics include:

• Meteorology - fronts and their weather, atmosphere stability and instability, aspects of altimetry, METAR/TAF, GFA, PIREP, AIRMET/SIGMET, NOTAM...
• Air Law - airspace, VFR weather minimums, privileges...
• General Knowledge - engines and systems, icing airframe and carburetor, manifold pressure...
• Navigation - flight planning, navigation log, VOR, opening closing and double track methods, return to depart method...
• And lots of details regarding actual exam feedback/hints.

Includes access to the Private Pilot online ground school for 90 days.
